Joy of the Lord is my strength

I am wiped out. Last night I woke up about every hour, thinking it was time to get up. I finally got up at 5:00 and had an AWESOME devo time. God just really put "the joy of the Lord" into my heart and I was just silently praising Him. If everyone else wasn't asleep I would have started singing. I got all ready for church and stuff. When Micki got up she had me run to the store for some eggs. So I walked to 7/11 (which is WAY different than in the states, they actually have some healthy stuff there! LOL!) got the eggs, then on the way back, I grabbed the keys to get into the apartment out of my pocket and guess where I dropped it? Of all places, what is the probability that I will drop the key into the storm drain? Well, that's what happened. And I was just so full of the joy of the Lord, that I just smiled and said "Thank You, Jesus! Now...could ya help me here?" There was no way for me to get back inside, unless I had that key. So, I prayed and asked the Lord for ideas. I put my umbrella (it had been misting) down the storm drain, and using the tip, I shoved it through the keyring hole. Because there was so much muck on the bottom, it stuck to the umbrella and I was able to pull it up through the top. GOD IS GOOD!
I rode the train ALL BY MYSELF to church today. *pull-ups theme song...* "I'm a BIG KID now!" I was very proud. LOL.
It was actually pretty funny, because I left early to go to church and help with worship. But when I got there, Jamie (the worship leader) was so busy trying to figure out the power point (Todd usually does it, but he's in Cali at a pastors conference) that he and Tim (the other worship leader) didn't really have a chance to practice. And since they didn't get the power point figured out until right before the service started, I didn't want to go help, because I knew only one of the songs. Jamie often picks songs that sound better solo...
After church, Micki, Fumi, the girls and I went to Shinjuku and met with some people who are related to someone Todd led to Christ in the hospital about ten years ago or something. It's complicated.
Anyways...that was interesting. Kind of fun. I guess. Anna and Naomi (the two year old twins) drove me nuts! Oh man, they were so frustrating at times. Micki and I were exausted. Micki would have given them a couple spankings but she couldn't in public. And the train coming back home...torture. But I won't go into details. All day thought, the Lord has been teaching me about joy! He is AWESOME!
Luv ya!
